What is Tabgrid?
Tabgrid is an AI-native product information management (PIM) platform for ecommerce and catalog teams. What “AI-native” means in Tabgrid
AI assistance is built into the catalog workflow rather than bolted on as a text box. Because product data is stored as structured records — a grid of products and typed attributes — a model can be asked to work on specific fields for a specific selection of products, and the result can be validated against the catalog model instead of being trusted blindly.
- Tabgrid can plan AI-assisted work across a selection of products: attribute enrichment, product classification, translations, and title or description edits.
- Planned changes are shown as a preview and are written to the catalog only after an explicit confirmation step, so nothing is applied silently.
- Enriched values are validated against the attribute definitions they belong to before they enter the catalog, and enrichment results land in a reviewable state.
- Catalog work is exposed to the model through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool interface on Tabgrid’s authenticated API, mapping a request onto a closed set of supported bulk actions. There is no free-form database query tool.
